Rita Marie
Welcome to the blog of Rita Marie. She is a twenty-something year old photographer who dreams of having her photographs published in glossy magazines and advertising campaigns worldwide. Her interest in photography has been there since she was a child and grew when she got her first, little green Canon advatix film camera in her high school years, from her aunt. She brought it with her everyday to school determined to document her youth. On her 18th birthday, she got her first 35mm SLR camera from her godmother. She then familiarized herself with the functions of a camera. In 2005, on her graduation, she got her first DSLR, a Canon 350D. She took photography classes and shot her friends' portraits for practice. In 2006, she landed a job as a photographer for York University in Toronto, Canada while studying Marketing. She couldn't believe she was getting paid to do what she loved. She had an amazing boss who was very supportive of her creativity. Aside from working for the university, Rita would look for models, around campus, in classes, in the subway, just everywhere! In 2008, she met Matti Gidilevich of Elite Model Management and started shooting for them. She is now based in Manila, Philippines, willing to travel, and open for work.
